Hi, David.  Well, it's been almost a month since you delivered our male 
pup to us and we are very pleased with him.  Kona Da Kine (aka Kona) is 
doing great.  He has a healthy appetite (weighed in at 25.4 lbs last 
Friday), took to his crate right away (thank you for recommending the 
giant size), has been using the doggie door since the first day and 
knows the spot where he's supposed to do his business in the yard.  We 
were walking on leash a mile each morning and evening, but on Aug. 9 I 
broke my ankle on the way out the door to go for our evening walk, so 
we'll play a lot of retrieve in the backyard until my cast comes off 
next month.  He's a very sweet dog and we appreciate your breeding such 
a well-tempered and handsome Lab.

     Hello David, the Beehners  here!? just thought we'd drop u a line and tell u how happy we all are with  Mocha!? It took her about 3wks to be potty trained, we set up a doggy door  and she uses it all the time without being told to, even at night!? My wife  taught Mocha to sit on command, that took all of 15 minutes, she also stays on  command, that took alittle longer, 1day!  Mocha is sooooo smart, and a great  personality too ! Shes very, very loving with our boys. we recently went on vacation to almanor  and took her along, it was her first time swimming and in our boat, she loved  it! shes also a great retriever!  What more can we say, except  thanks!!! 

Hi David:

Bill and I just wanted to write and tell you how happy we are with 
Cosmo.  He has made himself at home, and by all appearances is happy and 
doing well.  He loves his crate, and is going outside to eliminate.  We 
bought some of the wood shavings you recommended but we spread them 
outside on the ground where we want him to "go" and he took to the spot 
immediately, and has been going there ever since!

We have had no whining other than when he needs out of his crate, and he 
is already responding to a few commands, and has gone for a walk on his 
leash without incident.  He is very sociable.  He has to meet everyone 
he passes, and is excited when someone walk by the front garden gate.

We have one question for you.  What was the date of his birth?  We never 
asked you the exact date.  We thank you for breeding such a loving pup!

Just wanted to let you know that Belle, one of your stock, just turned 
two years old. Already she is turning out to be the finest duck dog I've 
owned in 30 years. In the past two weeks she has single-handedly 
retrieved 36 ducks with no losses. She sits quietly in the blind and 
watches the sky for birds constantly. She's just like having another set 
of eyes in blind. The most astounding aspect of her skills is that she's 
never hunted with another dog. Every thing she does she has figured out
on her own. When we're not hunting, she is part of the family, staying in 
all night and laying beside me as I work in the office. So, in answer to 
question, am I happy? Hell yes. You just can't top having a great family 
pet that is protective and performs like a trooper in the blind. 

David - I haven't written to you since you dropped off Molly in June. 
She is the greatest puppy.  She is so smart and obedient and 
affectionate.  No behavorial problems at all.  People ask all the time 
where we got her, I wouldn't be surprised if you get quite a few 
inquiries because of her.  Thank you so much, she is such a joy.

We made it home with Sly.  His full name is "T&D's Orinda Mudslide".  He 
slept all the way home and hasn't stopped exploring since we arrived. 
He's already chasing the ball and retrived it.  We put paper down and 
he's used it twice.  We're pretty impressed!  I hope he goes to sleep 
soon.  We'll keep in touch.

I JUST WANTED TO DROP YOU A LINE ABOUT A PUP I BOUGHT FROM A LITTER THAT ARRIVED ON 1/1/99. EVERY DAY THIS DOG DOES SOMETHING TO AMAZE ME. BOOMER IS ABOUT 70 POUNDS AND HAS A HEAD LIKE A HORSE. I CANT KEEP HIM OUT FOR MY POOL. JUST AS OF LATE HE HAS STARTED RETREVING OBJECTS OF THE BOTTOM OF THE POOL, IT'S SO COOL TO SEE HIM SWIM UNDER WATER. I TOOK HIM TO PUPPY SCHOOL AND HE REALLY BEGAN TO SHINE. HE IS VERY, VERY SMART. THE DOG HAS NEVER SHOWN ANY AGGRESION TO ME OR ANY MEMBERS OF MY FAMILY. I HAVE HAD SOME GREAT DOGS, BUT BOOMER HAS FAR AND ABOVE BEEN THE BEST. I DON'T HUNT BUT ALL MY CO-WORKERS DO, AND THEY PLAN TO SEE HOW HE DOES. HE COMES TO WORK WITH ME EVERY DAY, SO THEY KNOW HIM WELL AND CONSTANTLY TELL ME HOW GOOD A DOG HE IS.

     Wow, how time flies. Mark and I wanted to send you and email and let 
you know how Ulysses is doing.Ulysses was 25lbs last friday. And simply beautiful. Everyone remarks on how good tempered and what a beautiful color he is . I have given your name out a few times. He is potty trained. And has a fetish for toilet paper. Just this week we have found chunks out of the toilet rolls. It is quite humorous! We just love him. We have some lovely photo's that we will send as soon as they are developed. We think you will be surprised on how he has grown.

Hi David, 
Thanks for the reply.  I took Ulysses for a longer walk yesterday. He is so good 
on a leash. I am looking forward to the day he can run with me. He is so kooky we 
have started rewarding him with biscuts(milk bone) in the morning when he goes to 
his kennel when we depart for work. This weekend I noticed he would get up 
and go into his kennel, sit for a few minutes and then get back out when no 
one followed. Isn't he smart! Another month and we will take him camping 
with us.. Look for some photo's soon..

Hello David,

Thought I would drop you a line and let you know how our new pup is doing.  She was so good the long drive home, hardly any crying and no potty accidents.

She  is growing fast, 17 lbs at her last check up 3 wks ago.  We have to watch her every minute 'cause she is such a busy girl.  She is pretty much house trained, as long as we leave the back door open so she can get out.  She and Adam get along famously, though she does spend a fair amount of time getting chased.  We aren't having any problems, except the normal nipping(though that is getting better), chewing, and waking up at night lately and crying.  I think we will increase her evening exercise and that should help that.  We can't wait to take her to doggy school, but are waiting to get the vets ok.  He says we still should keep her kinda isolated till her shots are all done.

We got her picture taken with Adam a few weeks ago, I will send you a copy it is soooo cute.  Thanks for all your help.

Hi Dave,

Thought I would give you a yearly update on Megan. She is 65 lb., and strong as heck. Extremely smart dog, and very protective. She is so much a water dog I don't think we could take her to the beach she would swim across the ocean. We have a doughboy so its 4 feet off the ground thank goodness. We took her to my moms at 7 month old and she treaded water for 4 hours. Found out the hard way that is real bad for their nails. Once she hit the cement they just flaked off and bleed. She survived and now she just stands up on the side of our pool and barks when she wants in, which is all the time. I am hoping she will slim down some in the next year, she looks to have a lot of skin to grow into. and she is very round even with all the swimming and walks. We were able to leave her alone in the house at 6 months, not locked in her box and she hasn't bothered a thing. She is a wonderful pet and a lover, I thank you so much for such smart fun dogs.

Hello, how are you and the rest of the pups doing?  We are great and we 
love our new addition to the family.  We named him McGwire, but I like 
to call him Baby Ba Lou! 

He is really smart and he is still quite mellow. He loves to entertain 
himself while chewing on his hoof, rope, ball, and everything he 
possibly can.  He rarely barks (only at the cats) and never cries.  We 
are looking forward to his third vaccination so we can take him to the 
beach, park, etc... 

We will e-mail some pictures soon, before he is as big as his mother!
