Hey David,

I know you have been busy with new litters, but I was wondering when we should be expecting the AKC papers. Jake, puppy #3 from the September 10th litter, is doing great! he is 36 lbs already! He has received all of his puppy shots. He recently discovered how fun the pool is! Our other dog Charlie jumped in one day to cool off and Jake followed him in. He was hopping around and running in the baby pool. He had no idea what to do, it was hilarious! I dont want him to get too interested in the pool yet because we dont want his coat to fade, so I havent been encouraging it. Once again, I want to thank you for Jake, he is truly a great member of our family!

Sincerely,
Megan Alayon

Hey David,

Jake went to the vet friday and the doctor said he is super healthy. He predicts that Jake will gain 2 pounds every week, we are already noticing the difference. He is very hyper and is making our other dog, Charlie (8), active as well. He behaves a lot better in the crate, which he has made his little home. Here are some recent pictures!

Hi Dave,
A few notes. I ran across this today while cleaning out some folders on my email. Mark and I are so grateful that you trusted us with Gus. He has turned 6 and is such a loving, affectionate member of our family. In the last year he has learned to swim and has become quite good at it. He is the only one of the family that picks his toys up at night and takes them to his dog bed with him literally. While I still miss Uly Gus has brought a similar joy as Uly once did. They are alot alike but different. Miss Abby is hanging in there and pushes his occasionally but is learning that she isn't the alpha anymore. We go out to site often and look at the beautiful puppies. You will hear from us again, but hopefully not for a long while when we are ready for a new puppy.. Hope life is treating you well.

Hi David,

Just a quick note to let you know how much we love our 14 month old Chocolate Jessie. She has added so much to our lives and while I cannot say that she has turned into a couch potato she does have her mellow times so we can get a glimpse of our future with her. The one thing she has done is get us two 60+ year olds off the couch and outside laughing at her. Originally the plan was to breed her to give my son a chocolate of his own for his family as he is an avid duck hunter and to give us another for Jessie in a couple of years but after looking into diseases that female dogs can avoid if they are spayed and that breeding can sometimes take a couple of years off the life of a female dog, I could not stand the thought of spending one less minute with Jessie than we will have to, so we have decided that when the time comes that our son and his family (he has a 4 year old and 1-1/2 year old) feel they are ready for the work involved with a lab puppy I will purchase a Stargate puppy for them. I did want to let you know however that if you ever come across a younger dog that someone must get rid of for some reason (a Stargate dog) that we would love to be considered as parents to give Jessie a partner. We had Jessie spayed last week, somewhat with mixed feelings but she never came into heat so we made the decision to move forward with our plan to either adopt an older dog or once she gets out of her puppy stage (if ever) start over with a new Stargate puppy for us.

Again we cannot thank you enough for your wonderful dogs, Jessie has been a gift from God to us.
